Musings during my travel to NECCA, pt. 1

1. Do not instantly trust the desk lady when she says your vintage Samsonite will fit in carry-on overhead compartment.

1b. Especially if you have not had any caffeine and it’s 5:20 a.m.

2. 6:30 a.m. flights are the only time you will get to BNA from Nashville West in 20 minutes.

3. 10 minutes in ID/ticket check line, 12 minutes in security line and scan, with no luggage scan issues. New personal record overall!

4. Thank the caffeine deities for Starbucks next to my gate.

5. Previously mentioned suitcase was checked plane-side. Bonus: no checked bag fee!

6. Need more coffee and water. I’m seeing birds flying inside the DTW airport….

Counting down to THE HOOPING LIFE!!

Counting down. Seriously ready to be flying out to Florida….instead, I’m at work, on a tech conference call, staring at my to-do & packing lists, Hotwire & film festival confirmations…..I have laundry to do, teeny tiny toiletries to stuff in a tiny clear bag, clothes to pack, hoops to wrangle, a memory card to unload and finish my iPod playlists I started this morning. Luckily, excited energy will make short work of this list :)

Can’t wait to meet the lovely hoopers who I will be hanging out with! And the Hoopalicious workshop! And the GroovinMeGzz workshop!! Woooooo-hoooo!
